Hooves

Hooves is a horse research buddy for kids roughly 8–12. Children can chat with "Dusty", browse horse breeds and horse careers, take quizzes and collect badges.

Every message is checked before the AI answers. Questions that aren't about horses get a silly, pre-written reply instead of an AI answer. Attempts to trick the bot, and unsafe or adult topics, are blocked and get a calm redirect. Answers are checked again before they are shown.

No filter is perfect, so we still recommend a grown-up stays nearby.

Answers come from an AI model and may sometimes be wrong or out of date. Encourage your child to double-check important facts with a book, instructor, or trusted website.

Health information is for learning only and does not replace a veterinarian. If a horse seems unwell, contact a vet.

Children should not type their name, school, address, phone number, email or other personal details. Hooves never asks for them, and messages containing phone numbers, emails or street addresses are stopped before reaching the AI.

Achievements and discovered hidden surprises are saved in this browser only (local storage). The current chat is kept in memory and disappears when the page is refreshed or "New chat" is tapped. There are no accounts, advertising or analytics trackers.

When your child asks a question, that message plus a few recent messages from the same chat are sent to an OpenAI model (via Lovable's AI service) to check safety, write an answer, and sometimes paint a picture. Chats are not intentionally saved on our server.
